Scott Nesbitt

Scott Nesbitt grew up around insurance as his father Steve was a successful producer and then successful agency owner. Scott began his ‘formal’ career in insurance in 2012 as a commercial broker in Birmingham, AL. In 2015, he co-founded Petra RMS, an independent insurance agency with offices across the Southeast. Scott served as the Chief Operating Officer with Petra RMS until 2021 when the company was acquired. In this role, he oversaw 8 acquisitions and helped grow the company from 2 to 46 employees. After leaving Petra RMS, Scott was interested in finding a local Alabama agency with good people and a good name in the community. In early 2022, Scott met Don and Stephanie Allison and fortunately was able to take over managing Allison Insurance Agency in September of 2022. Scott loves the insurance field as it is constantly changing and evolving. Scott is passionate about building a company that cares about its people and has a positive impact in the community.

Outside of work you can find Scott enjoying time with his wife Sarah Catherine and their two kids, Steven and Helen. They love taking long walks when the weather is nice. He also enjoys traveling, reading, hiking, and hunting.
